Meet Carol

At just 8 years old, Carol already understands what it is to live a hard life. Both her parents died of AIDS in 2005 and she herself is HIV+.

Carol lives with an aunt, a single mother with three children of her own who earns less than £1 a day with which she has to support everyone. The family lives in one room in the Kibera slum in Nairobi. Carol was attending school but her aunt couldn’t afford the school and lunch fees.

Now with our help, Carol attends the Neema Outreach Project. She eats a good meal each day and her school fees are being paid for. Carol has been on medication since she was a baby and continues to do well. Good afternoon everyone. I faced the problem of rashes on my face and passed bacterial culture and smears. The doctors discovered Staphylococcus epidermis, and I was prescribed antibiotics droppers for 10 days. When the drug was injected into the body, no unpleasant sensations arose. The result of treatment is noticeable.
